How far in advance should I book my makeup artist for my wedding day? 

• This is a frequent inquiry from brides. Ideally, aim to book your makeup artist a year in advance, especially if your wedding falls on a Friday through Sunday during the busy summer season when dates fill up quickly. Do you offer a trial session before the wedding day?

• Every bride gets a trial session before the big day. This is an opportunity for us to connect, discuss your preferences, and work together to create the perfect look for you. The trial sessions typically last for 2 hours, giving us ample time to talk through the details and try out the look step by step. It’s also a chance to ensure that the products used suit your skin, and for me to assess if any adjustments are needed for the actual day.

What is included in the bridal package?

• Included in your bridal package is a detailed cost breakdown covering your trial, on-the-day services for both yourself and your bridal party, and a mileage calculation if applicable to your location.

Do you have a minimum booking requirement? 

• Yes, there is a minimum booking requirement. For weddings from Wednesday to Sunday (including bank holidays), the minimum booking is for 4 people, and this must include the bride. Unfortunately, at this time, I do not accept bookings that do not include the bride. For weddings on Monday and Tuesday, a minimum booking of 3 people applies.

Can you accommodate the whole bridal party?

• I can usually accommodate the entire bridal party. Nevertheless, there might be instances when this isn’t feasible due to factors such as the size of the bridal party, the timing of the ceremony, or the location. If your party exceeds the capacity I can handle alone, you may need to enlist the services of a second makeup artist.

How long will the makeup application take on the day? 

• What is the expected duration for the makeup application on the wedding day? I allocate varying time slots for each member of the bridal party. It is important to stick to the allotted time, as it takes into consideration breaks for photographers and any disruptions that may occur during the wedding morning. For the bride, I allocate up to an hour and a half, including time for bridal skin preparation and breaks for professional photos. Bridesmaid makeup typically takes one hour, while the mother of the bride or groom is allocated 45 minutes.

What brands/products do you use, and are they suitable for my skin type?

• In my kit, I incorporate a diverse range of brands and products carefully selected to cater to all skin types and concerns. I have a fondness for luxury brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Anastasia Beverly Hills, MAC Cosmetics, NARS, Bobbi Brown, and Urban Decay. Every product in my kit is personally chosen by me, ensuring that I only use items I’ve personally tried, tested, and have complete confidence in. During your trial, we’ll have a detailed discussion about your skin, any concerns you may have, and address any sensitivities.

What if there’s a need for touch-ups during the day?

• The wedding makeup I create is designed to be long-lasting, achieved through careful product selection and makeup techniques. I’ve consistently received positive feedback from previous brides, noting that their makeup lasted well into the early hours. However, considering activities like eating, drinking, and “kissing,” I always suggest purchasing your bridal lipstick for touch-ups. Some brides also choose to invest in a powder for touch-ups, though it’s typically unnecessary unless you have an oily skin type. For those who’ve opted for a natural or minimal makeup look and wish to avoid adding more product throughout the day, I recommend oil blotting sheets instead of powder. These sheets effectively absorb excess oil without the need for additional product application, helping you maintain a fresh look.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

• Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring you to  reschedule or cancel. To confirm and secure your booking, a non-refundable £50 deposit is required. This deposit, while non-refundable, can be transferred to an alternative date if it is available. In the event that your wedding is cancelled, and you choose not to rebook immediately, you have the flexibility to apply your deposit to any other treatment I offer within a 12-month period.

Can you travel to my wedding venue, and is there an additional fee for travel?

• All wedding bookings are mobile, meaning I will come to your preferred location on the day. This ensures that you and your bridal party can prepare for the special day in the comfort of your chosen setting, whether it be where you feel most comfortable or at the wedding venue itself. Travel is factored into your initial quote, providing clarity on costs. However, it is calculated as an additional cost, not included in the makeup prices. Mileage is applicable beyond a 5-mile radius from my location. The mileage cost is calculated at £0.50 per mile for the round trip. 

How do I prepare my skin for the best makeup application?

• I appreciate brides who prioritise skincare preparation. Healthy skin serves as the ideal canvas for makeup application. By healthy, I don’t necessarily mean blemish-free or flawless, just well-cared-for. What packages do you offer?

There are two photo shoot packages available: a half-day option for 4 hours and a full-day option for 6 hours. If your inquiry doesn’t align with these packages, please contact me through the inquiry form to explore personalised options. Please note that an additional travel fee is applicable, calculated as a return trip for locations beyond a 5-mile radius from my location.

What is included? 

The packages are designed to accommodate bookings for multiple individuals or for individuals seeking makeup changes or on-site touch-ups. Please be aware that depending on the number of people you’d like to include in your booking, we will need to discuss the feasibility of accommodating them within the chosen booking time
